On the 21st of August, Prof. Alexandre Roulin, one of the world leading experts in Barn Owl, visited the University of Évora for a working session with the LabOr team. Prof. Roulin leads a research group at the Department of Ecology and Evolution, Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne, and is currently a collaborating member of ICAAM. Cooperation between the LabOr and the Swiss team started in 2006 under the TytoTagus Project, by contributing to a European database on the species. During the visit biological data were analyzed and future collaborations were discussed. Prof. Roulin is currently the supervisor of an ongoing doctoral thesis of LabOr, focused on the ecotoxicology of the Barn Owl.
