Graduated in Biology (2003), Master in Conservation Biology (2007) and PhD in Biology (2016) by the University of Évora. I work in Ornithology and Nature Conservation since 1999.
My main research interests are bird communities associated to cork oak stands, bird monitoring, population trends, ringing and citizen science. Currently I’m working on the III Portuguese Breeding Bird Atlas, on the update of the Bird Directive and the Portuguese Bird Red List. I’m the national delegate on the EuroBirdPortal initiative (www.eurobirdportal.org).
Since March 2018 I’m working on the Innovation, Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurship and Cooperation Office from the University of the Évora.
